Saving the Planet, One Blog at a Time

Peoples of the internet, go ahead and ask me how many times I’ve made use of my toilet plunger today.

Yes, that’s right.

It’s the little V-meister.

I’m always telling her, “One square for number one, two squares for number two.”

Why, yes, I do exaggerate, but you’re picking up what I’m laying down. I’m trying to run, if not an entirely green household, then at least green-ish. Chartreuse.

But the V-meister, she be liberal, too.

With the toilet paper.

We’re talking about at least twenty squares for a mere tinkle, my friends.

Is there any way, short of hosting an intervention with every potty trip she takes, that I can remedy this situation? She's felling trees left and right, and she's only three.

Sigh.

October 15th is blog action day, but it's not too early to start thinking about how you might be able to contribute with your super blog powers. Click here to find out more.

Yeah, I'm hearing you there. My M can go through a half roll in one trip. Not exaggerating.

My uncle used to say that kids use toilet paper like it will solve all their problems.

my daughter used to do this, but has gotten over it, somehow. I don't think it was in response to my reasoning or pleading... it just happened one day

My daughter's teacher has them roll it out until it hits the floor and then they can't have any more. It has worked for her - she will take no more, no less. There is also that new toilet paper for kids with the bear tracks on it.

Mine never really had that issue but he does love to use TP to wet it and throw it on the ceiling. Hmm...
