Except Liv's comment regarding the possibility of contracting a facial staph infection from wanton football helmet-sharing.
After reading that, I immediately removed my borrowed helmet and went out to Dick's to get one I could call my own.
Anyway, I feel much better. I'm not going to let the fearmongers get the best of me.
This morning, as I was drinking my first cup of coffee, a certain "news" show that shall remain nameless ran their segment about staph infections yet again, and do you know what I did?
I totally put my hands over my ears and chanted "MynameisRima!MynameisRima!MynameisRima!" over and over again until the P-Dog pointed out that I could also just mute the sound or turn the TV off altogether.
Take that, Matt Lauer.
However, as fate would have it, I cruised by one commenter's site today and was
I simply could not resist, and so I leave you, dear friends, with this compelling little widget that proudly attests to the fact that I have the disease IQ level of Hawkeye Pierce! I was never allowed to watch much TV as a kid, but the P-Dog tells me he was a doctor on a very, very famous show back in the 70s:

WARNING: This game is not for the faint of heart. I'm serious. They have pictures.

Step away from the Alan Alda game. Step away.
I can see you're feeling all better then! Hmmm...
Heidi :)
I got the same score. LOL
I almost got to Doogie Howser. So sad. Plus, you started me down the road of the "how smart are you" tests. And the kitchen is still dirty...
"I'm as smart as Alan Alda..."
And almost as cute! (Sorry I couldn't resist.)
M ;)
I missed the Matt Lauer morning show today but they were nattering on about it everywhere else, too. Even CNN. "New Health Scare".
Oh, blah! :)
Peace,
~Chani
I love Alan Alda.
And I love you.
:)
ahem. you know, in a friendly, bloggery sort of way.
I'm right there with you, lady. I could practically BE a doctor. Except for the, umm, gory stuff.
Oh how you made me giggle Alan. I always knew you were a genius. :)
Don't know whether to apologize for that, Rima, or say you're welcome. And I, for one, was much happier to be as smart as Hawkeye, than Doogie. Although I've never wanted Alan Alda, there was a time I had a serious crush on Hawkeye Pierce.
What do I need a disease IQ for? Don't you know we're all yucky inside like a pumpkin anyway? There's no hope.
Oh, I'm there! Doogie Howser, here I come!!!
