Spring is imminent. I know this because everyone's windows were rolled down in the carpool line and kids were hanging out of them, shouting back and forth to each other. Hi Jessica! Do you want to do golden bead work with me today? I am wearing my tights with the hearts and stars on them! The V-meister craned her neck as far as it would go and announced to her best friend three cars in back of us:
"We are listening to an Irish jig! I AM SO HAPPY!"
We haven't seen a lot of blue skies lately, and normally I don't like the combination of snow and sunshine, but even I was feeling celebratory this morning. I cranked up the volume on the CD compilation we were listening to and, at J-Dog and V-meister's behest, turned on the rear windshield wipers with their mesmerizing auto-spray mechanism.
V-meister and J-dog are always begging me to turn on the rear wipers; that's how you know it's a party. Then we all zipped our parkas halfway down and sang "Danny Boy" at the top of our lungs.
When I got home I checked the weather forecast because I was considering laying out.
It's a start, people.

I've realized that for Lent, I should have given up bitching about the weather.
LOL.... I felt the same way this morning. I had the music turned up SOOOOO loud on my way to the zoo.
As a part of my annual rite of spring, I have put away my crocheting supplies. No yarn shall cross my lap. I am ready for spring!

"Zipped our parkas halfway down" was super funny. I remember when we got to leave our coats in the car at the mall so we wouldn't have to carry them. Huge treat.

That is so US! We have been the same way around here because the weather has been close to 40. Woot woot!!! ;)
Don't throw anything at me, but I think it's gotten close to 50 today. And yes, we were outside, getting some serious Vitamin D. I am totally drunk on Vitamin D right now,

i have a spare room. well, not *spare* as much as belonging to a 10 year old who i can kick out. we're in san diego. today it felt so cold here i wanted to cry and i looked at the weather and it was like 67.
