Playing Hookie

We did not make it to V-meister's gymnastics class yesterday afternoon.

The sun was out.

The playground beckoned.

In it, a great puddle of mud with J-dog and V-meister's name on it.

People got wet.

And it was thrilling.

The very reason why galoshes were put on this earth.

N'est-ce pas?

Our playground beckoned yesterday as well, but it was dry.

They are adorable! So shiny and fresh looking, just like spring. And you come from much hardier mama-stock than me...I cringed at the beautiful V in that gorgeous white top standing in a mud puddle because I picture my girl's next move which would be to lean down and splash herself until she was tie-dyed and mud colored.

Let the wild rumpus begin.

Gorgeous photos! That is indeed why galoshes (or gumboots as I call them, or wellies as my husband calls them!) exist!

Yes - waterproof boots make life worth living, for kids and grownups.

Perfect! It is absolutely imperitive to play hookie on days like these. :)
